About Us

The frescoes in Kerala that reflect Hindu mythology are known as mural paintings. Mural painting traditions are abundantly seen in Kerala, India's ancient temples and palaces, and they mostly date from the ninth to the twelfth century CE, when this style of art was supported by the regal class. The Sanskrit writings "Chithrasoothram" serve as the paintings' scriptural foundation. The Chitrasutra is a section of the Vishnu Dharmottara Purana, a about 1500-year-old literature written in Sanskrit. It has 287 brief poems spread across nine chapters, plus some prose in the second chapter. The Chitrasutra is the only book about painting that is as comprehensive.
